Lady's Budoir Chair - Rosewood Circa 1860 in WATERLOO, New South Wales for sale

Offered for sale is a rare & most desirable Lady's Budoir Chair of extremely fine quality. It was made in London around 1860.
The magnificent rosewood frame is presented in pristine, original condition. The intricate Flemmish pierced carving is a work of art. Unusually, it shows no damage, evidence of repair or structural movement. The french polished finish is original & mellow. The colour is as good as is possible to find. The brass & porcelain castors are original & they remain in perfect, unworn condition.
The hand embroidered tapestry seat has not been touched & there are only very small imperfections to be found. The skirt is velvet & it is finished in gold thread braid.
The quality of manufacture is of the highest possible calibre - it is precision made. When commissioned new it would have been expensive. It is extremely rare.
Dimensions are strictly traditional for a budoir chair. The stuffed seat height is 14 inches & the total height is 31 inches.
Pick up is available at Mount Victoria in the Blue Mountains of NSW near to Katoomba.
